Frotcom Web - Release notes - 2022

The following list shows the most recent features implemented in Frotcom.

Trigger delay in the Area exit alarm: The Trigger delay, that allows you to specify for how much time an alarm can tolerate the circumstance to continue until it is triggered, is now also available for the Area exit alarm:

To configure the trigger delay of an Area exit alarm, you must go to the Restrictions section of the alarm, and enter the value (between 0 and 480 minutes) for the delay.

CO2 emissions report: This new report shows the evolution of CO2 emissions for the whole fleet or a selection of vehicles, for one or several months. In the case of several months being selected, an optional graph is available for selection by the user:

You may have a look at this article to learn more about the Reports module.

Advanced Dashboard > Driver coaching: The new Advanced Dashboard - Driver Coaching - provides you additional information related to Driving Behavior and other useful indications retrieved during a Driver coaching session:

You may find more details regarding the available Advanced Dashboards in this article.

Selectable columns in Alarms: You have now the option to select which columns will be visible in the Alarms view:

In addition to that, a few more columns (namely Vehicle type, Vehicle free fields 1 to 5, Coordinates, and Information) are also available for selection.

Driver app's Navigation system selection: You have now the option to choose which provider will be used in the Driver app's navigation system.

Two options are available for selection:

  • Google Maps (by default)
  • Sygic Truck & Caravan

To apply or change this option, you must go to Administration > Account > Driver app and select the option Navigation system:

You may also personalize the access of one or more drivers to a different navigation system. To do so, you must change it in Administration > Drivers > Select a driver > Mobile Terminal.

Automatic messages: The new submenu in the Interact interface allows you to configure messages that will be automatically sent to drivers in a daily, weekly or monthly basis:

This article covers the steps for you to configure automatic messages.

Extended CANBus collection - Elevation: For vehicles with Real-time tracking and CANBus service, Frotcom now also collects data regarding road Elevation.

You will be able to see the evolution of the elevation in the Graphs and in the Driver Coaching dashboard:

Define green zone for RPMs: Currently, in the Driving behavior module, Excessive RPMs are only calculated if the vehicle has an engine associated with it. With this latest addition, you are now able to define the maximum fuel-efficiency intervals (green zones) of a vehicle, as an alternative to selecting the vehicle engine:

You will be able to see the green zone interval of a vehicle in the Engine speed graph, as well as in the Driver coaching's dash:

In addition to it, the Driver behavior module, as well as the Driving behavior report, were updated to consider the individual green zones definitions as well.

Accumulated alarms: The new Accumulated alarm can be used to watch other alarm definitions for repeated triggers during a timeframe.

This is particularly useful for companies that need to pay special attention to alarms being excessively triggered in a short time (a big number of overspeed alarms for a single vehicle, for instance):

To configure this alarm, you must choose which alarm definition will be watched, the number of occurrences that will trigger this alarm, and the time window in which the occurrences must happen.

Import routes schedules with Template code: You can now identify Routes in the Import Routes Schedules routine based on their Template codes.

Note that the Template code is a non-unique identification, meaning that there might be multiple templates with the same Template code. In such cases, the routine picks the first template that matches the parameters.

Alarm popup notification revamp: The alarm notification popup has been updated to include the option to show the popup with alarm information for every triggered alarm under a specific Severity level:

Please have a look at this article to learn more about notifications of alarms.

Auxiliary ID: Send Route to vehicle after assignment: As of now, when an Auxiliary ID is invoked to associate a Route to a Vehicle, the Route is sent to the terminal associated with this vehicle (WFM or NAV).

Advanced Dashboard: Benchmarks: The new Benchmarks dashboard gives you a way to compare your fleet's overall performance to other similar fleets in Frotcom:

Please check this article for more information about the Advanced Dashboard.

Mandatory stops alarm: The Mandatory stops alarm allows you to create alarms to control the time drivers spend in areas where stops are mandatory.

This new alarm can detect the following scenarios:

  • Vehicles that enter a mandatory stop area but stop for a period shorter than required;
  • Vehicles that enter a mandatory stop area and stay there for a period longer than required;
  • Vehicles that enter the mandatory stop area and comply with the stop time.

Adjustments in the End of the period of Reports: In the Permanence in Places and CANBus - Driver work states reports, some parameters were adjusted to use the time the report is generated as the end of the period (instead of using 23:59 of the last day of the period).

You can find more details about the Advanced Dashboard in this article.

You can visualize Extended CANBus data in the following modules:

Driver Coaching: Driver Coaching is a powerful add-on to the already existing Driving behavior module, adding to it the real-time analysis.
