You can use the mobile device to send and receive text messages. Messages can be sent:
- From the office to you
- From you to the office
- Between drivers
Following is described how to send and receive text messages.
Reading a message
When a message is sent to you, a small popup panel will show, displaying the message. At the same time, a warning sound will be generated.
To see all received messages and reply to them, touch the Messages button.
You can also go to the first panel, sliding the screen to the left with your finger, and touch the Messages button. The number on top of that button shows how many new messages have been received. In this example, one:
All messages received can be viewed again by touching the Messages button:
Touch the sender line to see all text communications, inbound and outbound.
Messages sent by you are all right aligned. Messages received are left aligned. To reply, touch the Reply button. To go back to the list of message destinations, touch the Back button.
Sending a message
You can, first of all, reply to any messages received from the office or another driver. To send a new message from the home screen, touch the Messages button.
Now, touch the New button. You will be able to select the destination (Office or another driver) and enter the message. You can enter up to 300 characters per message. You can enter up to 300 characters per message.
Touch Send to send the message to the office. You will be shown a confirmation message "Message was sent" for a moment and will go back to the previous screen.
Note: the functionality to send messages to other drivers is only available for the version 1.0.1227.6 and above.
