Automatic messages

Updated

The submenu Automatic messages in the Interact interface allows you to configure messages that will be automatically sent to drivers in a daily, weekly or monthly basis.

In the Interact menu, you will see the sub-menu Automatic messages:

This sub-menu contains a table with the automatic messages configured for your account.

Each message is placed in a row in the table, sorted by its creation date (newest to oldest). It contains 3 columns:

  • Message: the body of the message. It is a hyperlink that opens the edition mode of this message.
  • Periodicity: displays the periodicity this message is scheduled to be delivered to drivers (Daily, Weekly, or Monthly).
  • Vehicle: If this message is configured to be sent to a single vehicle, it shows the vehicle's License Plate. If more than one vehicle is selected, the label Multiple items selected will be shown instead.
  • Status: Indicates if the automatic message is Active (if there's no End date, or if the End date is in the future) or Inactive (if the End date is in the past).

At the top-right corner of this view, you will find the Add new button, which opens the view to create a new automatic message configuration:

When you click on it, you will see the following configuration view:

It contains the following configurations:

Configuration Description
Message The body of the message that will be sent to the drivers. It can have up to 1000 characters. (Mandatory)

Periodicity

The periodicity with which this message will be sent. (Mandatory)

It can be:

  • Daily: Sends the message every day between the Start and End date, at the chosen time (Default).
  • Weekly: Sends the message at specific days of the week. For this option, you must choose which days of the week the messages will be sent. The default selection of the weekdays is All selected.
  • Monthly: Sends the message on a specific day of the month, starting at the Start date, and repeating every month on the same day

Note: If you select a day that is not common to all months of the year (days 29-31), the message will not be sent on those months that don't have this day.
  • Last day of the month: Similarly to the Monthly option, this periodicity sends the message once a month, always on the last day of each month (no matter which day it is), at the defined Time.
Time Time of the day the message will be sent. (Mandatory)
Start date

Choose here when the message will be sent to the driver the first time. (Mandatory)

It can only be selected for today or any date in the future. Dates in the past cannot be selected.

End date

If you wish to add an end date for this automatic scheduling, you may click on Click to add and choose a date in the future (that must be after the date chosen for the Start Date). This is not a mandatory field, so if you don't want your message to stop being sent, you can leave it blank.

Vehicles

Select here the vehicles equipped with a WFM or NAV terminal that will receive the message. (Mandatory)

Important: These messages are only sent to WFM or NAV Terminals (no emails or SMS messages). If a vehicle is equipped with both terminals, the message will be sent to WFM only.

To edit an automatic message, you may click on the message's hyperlink from the main menu:
