API Use Policy

Permission to login

In order to be able to use the API for your Frotcom account (company), you will need to have the necessary credentials. Your Frotcom Certified Partner will give you those credentials on request. The credentials you will be given are not the same used to login on your Frotcom web interface or Fleet Manager app. They are specific for API login.


Separation of accounts

The API is built in such a way that only one account is accessible after logging in with the API credentials. If you own several accounts in Frotcom (several companies being served by Frotcom), you will need to login with different credentials for each account. For security reasons, there are no credentials for accessing multiple accounts.


Permitted use

You will follow all documentation provided by Frotcom International for the API under https://frotcominternational.zendesk.com/hc/en-gb/categories/201168905-FROTCOM-API-and-APPS. You will not attempt to hack or change the way the service functions. You will not overload the API with repeated and frequent requests (a.k.a. DoS) which might downgrade the availability of the service to other users. Frotcom International may monitor your use of the API for compliance with these rules, and you may be denied access to the API if you violate this Policy.


Privacy and Security

When dealing with data extracted from Frotcom via the API, you will use an adequate privacy policy for collecting, processing and storing data, in order to ensure information security, integrity, confidentiality and availability. License

Frotcom International grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable, limited right to access and use the API to develop, test and support your integration and to distribute or allow access to that integration to users of your service, provided that you comply with this API Use Policy and all applicable laws. Frotcom International may terminate your access to our API at any time for any reason.

 

Ownership

Frotcom International owns all rights, titles, and interest in the API and its services, including all intellectual property rights, marks, code, and features. You will not infringe, reverse engineer, or copy our code, design, or content. You will not access our API in order to compete with Frotcom. Any rights not expressly granted by this Policy are withheld. You own all rights, titles, and interest in the integration, except for the API, our marks, and the service being provided by the API.

 

Feedback on the API

If you provide feedback to Frotcom International or your Frotcom Certified Partner, about the API and its service, Frotcom International may modify, create derivative works, or somehow use that feedback to change the API. However, such actions will be decided by Frotcom International only and will not be subject to any specific time table, except if explicitly agreed differently by Frotcom International.

 

Support

Frotcom International will support you on the use of the API, via email only. Any requests sent to Frotcom International Support typically receive a first response in under eight (8) working hours. Depending on the subject presented in the support ticket, final resolution may take more time. Support will be available in English language only and will be provided directly from Frotcom International's headquarters in Lisbon, Portugal - Time zone in Lisbon (GMT+1). Before submitting your questions, please make sure you have studied the materials in https://frotcominternational.zendesk.com/hc/en-gb/categories/201168905-FROTCOM-API-and-APPS. Also, basic knowledge of Frotcom's services and nomenclature is necessary, otherwise our support will not be able to help you and will redirect you to your local Frotcom Certified Partner, for basic training on Frotcom. All replies from our API Support Team will be copied to your local Frotcom Certified Partner for better synchronization.

 

Use of Marks

In your integrations, you will not use Frotcom's name, mark or logo, or in any way imply an endorsement by Frotcom International, unless explicitly agreed differently by Frotcom International.


Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the API is provided as-is. Frotcom International does not provide warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Notwithstanding, Frotcom's API has historically an uptime higher than 99.5%.


Updates

Frotcom International may update or modify the API from time to time by posting the changes on https://frotcominternational.zendesk.com/hc/en-gb/categories/201168905-FROTCOM-API-and-APPS. Although Frotcom International will always try to avoid creating backward compatibility issues, you recognize that these changes may affect your use of the API or the way your integration interacts with the API. In the worst scenario, you may need to change your integration of Frotcom's API to adapt to these changes.

 

Miscellaneous

This Policy does not create or imply any partnership, agency, or joint venture. This Policy will apply for as long as you use the API.
