In order to see the Consumption per mileage data of your fleet, go to Management > Fleet panel and the following screen will be displayed to you:
On the upper part of the panel, on the View filter, click on Consumption per mileage option.
You will see the following screen:
It contains the following information:
|License plate||Identification of the vehicle.|
Total consumption of the vehicle in the defined period.
Note: This column only considers the costs with the fuel type Fuel. Therefore, you might not see the Total consumption if you use other fuel types.
|Total mileage||Total mileage of the vehicle in the defined period.|
Consumption [L/100km] = Total consumption / Total mileage.
This is the calculated L/100km. Optionally you can also use MPG (miles per gallon)
|Used consumption||Reference value for L/100km.|
Difference between the calculated L/100km and the used L/100km in the defined period.
NOTE: if the difference is higher than (+/- ) 5% of the used L/100km, the value presented in the difference column will be in red. Otherwise, it will be in black.
At the very end of the panel, you will also have a couple of features that provide you interesting information about your fleet. For the total consumption and total mileage columns, you will have the following mathematical operations:
For the consumption, used consumption and difference, you will have the following mathematical operations:
You can access them by clicking the drop down menu at the very end of each column, and selecting one of the available operations:
You will see the result of the selected option below the drop down menu button:
The calculated ratios depend on the time periods for which they are calculated. For instance, a vehicle may have a calculated consumption of 30L/100km in August and 28L/100km in September. In this case, the L/100km ratio depends on the exact consumption which occurred in a period, as well as on the number of km traveled.
However, some organizations, like transportation companies, need to have a reference value for the L/100km ratio. This is so because they want to establish a price for their service to the customer. In Frotcom that reference value for L/100km is called Used consumption and can be found in Administration > Vehicles > Management (you can also find instructions on how to change it).
Alternatively, you can also change the vehicle's L/100km in the Management > Fleet panel. For that, select a vehicle by ticking on the respective box on the left part of each row:
After ticking the desired vehicle, click on Set used cost under the Hamburger menu at the upper right part of the screen:
The following panel will be displayed to you:
On the vehicles field, you will see the selected vehicle.
On the Set used consumption field, you will be able to choose between two options for the used cost consideration:
|Set used cost option||Description|
|Use calculated value in the period||
Frotcom will copy the calculated L/km in the used consumption ratio.
This option is recommended when you want to accept the calculated L/km to become your new Used consumption.
|Define new value manually||
After selection this option, the following field becomes available:
Click on the Click to add link and a free text box will be available for you to define the new Used consumption:
After you select the L/km, click Change button to confirm your actions.
This operation can also be done for several vehicles in just one step. For that, select all the desired vehicles before you open the Set used consumption panel. In this way, you are able to set the value for more than one vehicle at a time.
