Variable costs are the ones which vary with the number of kilometers traveled.
This article depicts how you can define the types of Variable costs you will use in Frotcom. Fuel is already preset by Frotcom, but you can add other costs. Note that other cost types may have been preset by your Frotcom Certified Partner.
Go to Management > Preferences pane and select Variable costs tab. The following board will be displayed to you:
According to this example, we have the following Variable cost types:
- Fuel
- Fines
- Meals
- Parking
- Repairs
- Repairs
- Tires
- Toll
- Vehicle washing and cleaning
Note that the fuel variable cost type has a locker icon next to it:
This means that for this variable cost type, marked in the lock symbol, is not possible to edit or delete. These locked fields are reserved by Frotcom.
To create new Variable cost types, click Add:
Afer, the following field will be available to you:
You can enter the name of the Variable cost type on the Designation column and, from the drop-down list in the Units column, you can select the measurement units of your new Variable cost type.
After you are done, click Save and the following confirmation will pop up:
You will see that the Variable costs panel is automatically updated with the newly added fields.
If you wish to rename any variable cost type, click Edit on the respective row:
If you wish to eliminate any variable cost type, click Delete on the respective row:
