Accessing Video Events
Click on Events in the main navigation menu.
Alternatively, open a vehicle’s infobox on the map and select Video Events.
Click an event icon along the vehicle’s path to view details.
The vehicle events section will also be configurable in the vehicle infobox settings, and will be shown in the same order as it is in the infobox:
Filtering and Sorting Events
Use the filter panel to refine events by vehicle, driver, category, date, or severity.
Sort events by severity (Critical, Major, Minor), category, or date.
Toggle between list and grid views.
Viewing Event Details
From the Events List, click on an event to open the Event Details page.
From the Quick Info widget, select See video detail.
-
The Event Details page includes:
Video Playback: 10 seconds (5 before, 5 after the event trigger).
Metadata: Severity, location, timestamp.
Download Option: Save the video for recordkeeping.
Event Categories
Events are grouped into three main categories:
Safety (e.g., Distracted Driving, Seatbelt Use, Fatigue Detection).
Security (e.g., Camera Obstruction, Unauthorized Access, Power Disconnect).
Compliance (e.g., Driver Check-in/Check-out, Ignition Status Changes).
Feature availability may vary: See Supported Cameras and Capabilities.
Video Availability
Events display thumbnails when video is unavailable due to expiration.
Download restrictions may apply if your data plan limit is reached.
Snapshot and Video events
Events appear in the list as video events even when the camera is configured to deliver them as Snapshot. This is expected behaviour: Snapshot and Video both record the same short clip and differ only in how that clip reaches the platform.
Video — the clip is uploaded automatically as soon as the event is triggered and is immediately available to watch.
Snapshot — the clip is kept on the camera’s SD card and uploaded on demand, when you open the event. It can only be retrieved while the camera is online; if the camera is offline, it becomes available after it reconnects.
