In a nutshell, the OS must be Android 2.3.3 or higher. The device must have 3G and GPS. Have in mind that if the display is low resolution or its size is lower than 7 inches, the interaction may be harder, especially when the virtual keyboard is visible because there will not be much space left. Note that the WFM app is no longer supported by Android version 14.
3G is used for communicating with the Frotcom data center. GPS is used for Navigation and also for some warning mechanisms such as task stage inconsistency detection.
Note: Although the minimum requirements described above should be enough for the application to run correctly, it is highly recommended that the device you are thinking of using runs Frotcom's Certification application. This application runs a series of tests on the device and then reports the results, for analysis.
Please ask your Frotcom Certified Partner to certify the model you selected, or check if that specific model was already certified by Frotcom International.
Important note:
Due to the trade ban applied by the United States to Huawei, new smartphones from this manufacturer do not support Google Services such as Google Play Store or Google Maps. To our knowledge, this affects phones models Huawei P40 and P40 Pro, Mate 30 series and Mate Xs.
This means that Workforce Management will not work on these phone models, and we do not foresee that this ban is going to be lifted any time soon. At the same time, without Google Maps, there is no quick workaround that can be implement.
For this reason, you might consider choosing other phone models if you are planning to use Workforce Management.
